Autumn is here and I am SO excited to get snuggly this season.

Autumn is here and I am SO excited to get snuggly this season.

From fluffy jumpers to fluffy socks, hot chocolates, lit candles and the new season of Bake Off - I think I’m correct in saying there is so much to look forward to in autumn! Don’t get me wrong, I love summer but as the kids go back to school I do start to crave scarf weather! It always feels a bit like a New Year too in September, which I imagine goes back to the starting of a new term and a new class when I was at school! New pencil cases and backpacks were by far the most exciting part of going back to school when I was a child, now it’s all about new candles and getting cosy at home with my family!

The Danish have a word called ‘Hygge’, which is pronounced ‘hoo-gah’, and put simply it is all about cosyness. They practise the art of Hygge all year round but I feel for us Brits, with the change in temperature and the nights drawing in, Hygge really comes into its own for us in autumn. Sitting on the sofa with a scented candle lit, wrapped in a blanket and cradling a cup of tea, Hygge is about finding comfort and satisfaction in those small pleasures. And as someone who loves a scented candle, I feel Hygge in my blood!

In the interests of new beginnings, getting cosy, and helping to bring you comfort in the simplest of pleasures, I’m so excited to let you know that I have two brand new ranges coming to Soul this September: Enrich and Tranquillity!

Enrich:
Need to decrease your stress levels after the chaos of the summer holidays? Enrich is the scent for you. It aids in improving the mood, with the saffron oil working well for the stimulation of serotonin within the body, naturally lifting the mood. Saffron oil is great for insomnia and supporting a good night’s sleep, as are the notes of Amber. If you want an alternative to Relax to mix up your scents a bit whilst keeping the benefits that so many of you tell me about, this is a collection to support and enrich in so many ways.

Tranquillity:
Ylang-ylang is a popular scent with so many of my amazing customers! It is renowned to reduce stress, anxiety, sadness, tension and promote a pacifying and serene atmosphere. Exactly what you need if you have a stressful job, or children in the house! Also due to its relaxing components it can also aid in sleep; helping you to sleep longer & deeper.

So grab yourself a cuppa (or a Baileys hot chocolate), pop on your fluffiest socks and light a candle - because autumn is here and all of us here at Soul are ready to help you get COSY!
